The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., (EGA) is a national non-profit educational organization offering study and preservation of the heritage and art of embroidery. EGA membership is open to anyone interested in needlework, from the beginner to the professional.
Yoy may join EGA as a:
- Chapter Member - As a member of a local chapter, you will hone your skills and meet others who share your passion for stitching. Benefits include regularly scheduled meetings, workshops, lectures, stitch-ins, and participating in group correspondence courses. Chapter members may also attend region events such as seminars, leadership training, and workshops. Chapters do vary and you may join as many chapters as you wish.
- Chapter membership fees are determined at the chapter/region level and consist of annual dues to EGA, region dues, and chapter expenses for
newsletters and programs. Please contact the chapter you wish to join for more information.
- If you are interested in finding a chapter within GPR, visit our Chapter Directory. If you are interested in finding a chapter in anther region, visit the National EGA Chapter Directory.
- Member at Large - Members at Large have no chapter affiliation, but receive all other benefits of membership. While all our members are encouraged to enjoy the special benefits of chapter and region membership, EGA realizes that many stitchers may not wish to join a chapter. As a Member at Large, you may attend chapter meetings as a visitor, just as any other non-chapter member may attend as a visitor.
